Army Public School Gaya

In 1998 the school was recognized by Bihar State education board as non-funding school with the extension of academic classes up to VIII. In 2008 the school was segregated as Mahatma Budh School and Shaurya Pre- Primary School. The School was taken by OTA, Gaya from ASC Centre (North) in April 2011. The school is functioning under the aegis of AWES and recognized by CBSE, New Delhi. The school was accorded approval as Army Public School, OTA, Gaya w.e.f 01 April 2014 along with CBSE approval on 1 st January 2014 up to Secondary level. Presently the school is running from class one to Secondary.

The Kargil Victory through my Brush & Canvas

The spirit of the Indian Armed forces inspires each and every citizen of India but for Army wards it strikes a special chord. Army Public School OTA Gaya, observed Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July 2021 to honour the Kargil War Heroes, who had laid down their lives for the country. The students paid Tribute to the Kargil heroes by participating in various activities through Virtual Mode. The entire staff along with the students paid homage to the soldiers of Kargil by observing 2 minutes silence during online classes. The time essence of Kargil Diwas was significantly seen in all the activities.

The school emphasizes an overall development of a child by fostering a synergic blend between scholastic and co-scholastic achievements and a host of co-curricular and extracurricular activities which find a rightful place in the curriculum. Therefore, success is not just being good at studies taking part in various activities and excelling in them but also the attitude towards elders, teachers, class mates and above all oneself. This requires a team effort of both the schools as well as the family. I believe that the entire purpose of education is not only to humanitarian values like wisdom, compassion, courage, humanity, integrity, and reliability in a student. I rely upon the anecdote that excellence is a continuous process and not a chance. As per the National Curriculum Framework 2005, each and every child possesses enough potential and we need to develop their core competence by providing them all the facilities for their all-round development. I am sure the painstaking efforts of the teachers and developing culture of APS will set a strong foundation to take giant strides ahead and achieve the educational objectives for a stronger and brighter India. I am convinced with the idea that our children are bestowed with divine fire. As a facilitator, our sole aim is to fan their inner fire so that they may illuminate like cherubs. . I cherish being a part of this glorious institution dedicated to the cause of better India. I especially want the students to have the courage to think differently, to travel the unexplored path, to discover the impossible and to conquer their problems and succeed.
